Futons with Bunk Beds typically include a twin bunk bed above and a full-size futon sofa below. You can use the futon bunk bed below as a sofa by day and as a bed at night. Futon bunk beds are front operating, so there is no need to pull the entire bunk bed away from the wall. Just fold out the futon sofa underneath with the sheets already tucked under the futon cover.
Why not have a set of good storage drawers under the beds, or have offset bunks so that they fit in a corner? There`s so many options.
There is one major flaw in the concept of most bunks. They are simply unsafe. Children either fall or jump from the top bunk causing all manner of injuries. Broken bones and scrapes and bruises can be the least of it.
Of course, the true nature of bunk beds combine both answers. Indeed, bunk beds do feature two beds literally stacked atop one another, and yes, bunk beds are truly much fun to sleep in as well. For many families, bunk beds represent a practical and fun solution to an age-old problem of how to save space.
