If you do decide to purchase a bunk bed for your child`s room, be sure you purchase one with safety features. At the minimum the bed should have a secure rail on the upper bunk and a stabilized ladder. Avoid beds with no rail or with a ladder that is simply propped up against the bed.
The design of the classic bunk bed has more or less stayed the same over the years, which is a testament to the ingenuity of the original idea. It`s difficult to improve a perfect design and the simple idea of having two individual bed frames which can be stacked to save space is one which remains as popular today as it has always done.
If you have children who share a bedroom together, but who also happen to be very far apart in their ages, then a twin over full bunk bed is a great way to consolidate space while giving each child a bed that meets all their comfort requirements.
And if you`re thinking of buying a house, but it`s pretty expensive, then you could buy a smaller house, or an apartment, and put 2 kids in one bedroom if you use bunks to do it. The kids are happy, you`ve bought a house that you might not have been able to afford otherwise.
